A prostitute turned saint, Magdalene is now so engulfed in haunting mythos and iconography that the prospect of separating historical truth from legend risks impossibility. Undaunted, this program utilizes a scintillating combination of artwork, archival documents, dramatic reenactments and discussions with Biblical scholars to investigate Mary�s status within the context of history, her relationship to Christ and her importance for the early Church.
